BIOGRAPHY

Arthur Allain (Elijah Arthur Allain) is an incredibly gifted singer/songwriter from the beautiful Caribbean Island Saint Lucia. Born on April 4, 1991 to parents Glen and Sabina Allain of Soufriere, St. Lucia, Arthur has become one of the island’s most prominent Soca artistes, creating history becoming a six time undefeated Groovy Soca Monarch. A versatile musician, Arthur is also a dynamic producer, CEO and owner of Major Records, “Rock The A” Merchandize, and is also a former school teacher serving for over a decade. Arthur’s professional music career stretches back to early 2008, which birthed his introduction to live band performances with the Matrix band.

He continued to develop his craft over the years and in September of 2013, Arthur alongside two of his former students at Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School (Yannick Plante and Gus d’Auvergne) founded the very popular EvaLucian band. The band served as acts on major shows such as St. Lucia Jazz & Arts festival, many national Carnival events and concerts, and hosted their first inaugural concert EDF “EvaLucian Da Family” in July 2016, and sequel “Noir” in 2019. Arthur has performed in many islands across the Caribbean including Martinique, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados and has toured Canada, the United Kingdom and the US including states such as Miami, Texas, New York and Connecticut, performing alongside the best Soca artistes in the business. He was also a featured artiste at the 2017 and 2018 edition of the Uber Soca Cruise. Arthur Allain has served as an opening act for international artistes such as The O’Jays, Wyclef Jean, Maxi Priest, Machel Montano, Kassav and R. Kelly. Arthur also had the privilege of being part of the contingent to represent St Lucia at the 2020 Expo held in Dubai, in 2022.
 
Arthur achieved his first major musical accolade in 2013, when he stunned all in attendance with a memorable performance of his hit song “Jumping Alone” which obtained him the 2nd place prize in the Groovy Monarch competition, after only his second attempt at the title. St. Lucia Carnival 2014, saw Arthur’s career reach its pinnacle, when he was able to capture the coveted title of Groovy Monarch 2014 with his self-produced and co-written track “Numb”. Arthur repeated the feat of capturing the Groovy Monarch title again in 2015 with the song “Who I am #WestIndian”, a song paying homage to all Caribbean people. In 2016, Arthur created history by becoming the first artiste to win the coveted title for a third consecutive time, with the song “Dat Beat”. Furthermore, in 2017 Arthur cemented his legacy, winning the title for a fourth time with his self written track “Over n Over”. Historically so Arthur repeated the feat one more time in 2018 with the song “Mama” (an ode to his own mother and deceased grandmother who helped raise him) and thereafter took a five year hiatus from the competition. He returned in 2023, to continue his soca monarch legacy to regain the title once more with the self written song “Feeling Irie”.

Arthur has since released two albums “The Other Side” and “EvaLucianary” featuring songs produced by producers out of the Caribbean and Africa. He has also produced various reggae riddim compilations “The New Wave Riddim”, Lavender Riddim, “Country Roots Riddim”,and “River Stone Riddim” featuring Caribbean reggae artistes, and available on all digital platforms.
 
In 2016, Arthur was awarded by the St. Lucia Foundation of Texas, Houston for his stellar contribution to the Arts and promotion of St. Lucia’s music and culture. He was also the recipient of his first International Soca Award for Wildcard Soca artiste of the Year for the period 2015-2016. Arthur has also served as an influencer and brand ambassador for various major companies in the past, such as telecommunications company FLOW, and Unicommer.

In 2018 Arthur launched his inaugural online singing competition to help develop and provide a platform for upcoming St Lucian talent, which saw over 100 entries vie to be the winner of the #arthurallainchallenge, that which went viral, amassing thousands of views amongst videos. The challenge has since had 3 seasons, with season 3 roping in over 2 million hits across social media.
 
In his spare time Arthur loves to play a multitude of instruments, write and produce music, and spend time with his family including his beautiful daughter Kaejah. A musically blessed son, he continues to create music which captivates hearts all across the world.
